Case against husband, family in suicide case of Vipanchika on mother’s complaint

KOLLAM: A case has been registered against Nitheesh and his family in the suicide of his wife Vipanchika and baby under mysterious circumstances. The Kundara police have registered a case against Nitheesh, his sister Neethu and his father as the first, second and third accused. Sections such as abetment to suicide and dowry harassment have been filed. The action was taken on the complaint of Vipanchika's mother.

Vipanchika (32), wife of Nitheesh of Nalkavala, Kottayam and the only daughter of Maniyan and Shailaja of Chandanathope Rajitha Bhavan in Kollam, and their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Vaibhavi, were found dead in their flat in Al Nahda, Sharjah at 10 pm last Tuesday.

Vipanchika, who worked in the HR department of a private company in Dubai, and Nitheesh, a facilities engineer in a private company in Dubai, had been living separately for quite some time.

Vipanchika failed to open the door despite calling for a long time by the maid. She then contacted Nitheesh. It is said that Nitheesh and the maid broke opened the door and got inside. They then saw the bodies of the two, her relatives alleged that this is not reliable. Vipanchika's mother had come forward levelling serious allegations against Nitheesh the other day.

Vipanchika's mother revealed that Nitheesh had another affair and that he had made his wife and girlfriend sleep in the same bed. She also alleged that he had harassed her in the name of dowry.
