Boys clash inside classroom in Kochi over 'bestie' title, cops intervene

KOCHI: Two students violently clashed inside the classroom in a dispute over friendship with a girl student. The police intervened when the footage went viral on social media. The students were summoned to the police station.

The incident took place in a school in Kochi.

The two boys were best friends with a girl in the class. Recently, one of the boys had a tiff with the girl, and the two have not been on talking terms since. Last day, the boy tried to win back favour and approached the girl for talks, which irked the other ‘bestie’. The two boys got into an altercation and and it was decided to fight and solve the issue.

All the classmates were summoned to watch the fight, while an order was also made to record the video on their phones. The students shared the footage of the incident on their Telegram groups. In no time, the video went viral, and police intervened. The students were asked to reach the station with their parents.
