KOCHI: Actor Suraj Venjaramoodu has posted an emotional note on the passing of film actor Kalabhavan Navas. Taking to his social media handle, Suraj wrote that Navas was not only an artist but also a compassionate human being filled with kindness and concern for others.
'Dear Navasikka was one of the very few close friends who walked into my life through cinema. A man who was with us has now left without saying a word. I don’t know what to say to Rahna and the children. I have no words to console them. May they find the strength to overcome this pain,' Suraj wrote.
Suraj’s note:
'Dear Navasikka was one of the very few close friends who walked into my life through cinema. Not just as an artist, but also as a genuine human being with immense kindness and compassion for others.
When we first met, I was not even in films. Back then, it was our biggest pride to bring Navasikka, a film star, as a guest to our stage programs.
Beyond his rare talent of seamlessly switching between male and female voices in a single breath, he was also an exceptional singer — a complete artist. As years went by, we would talk and laugh about the moments we shared and the fun memories from various stages we performed together.
In recent times, remarkable roles had started coming his way. He happily shared that joy when we last met, raised his hand in farewell, and walked away. I still can't believe it… By the time I rushed there, I couldn’t even see him one last time. A man who was with us left without saying a word. I don’t know what to say to Rahna and the children. I have no words to console them. May they find the strength to endure this pain. Farewell from the heart.'
