Brutality in Palakkad: Youth feeds cat, kills it and posts video on Instagram after severing head from body

PALAKKAD: Police have launched an investigation after a disturbing video of a youth killing a cat and posting it on Instagram surfaced online. The accused has been identified as Shajeer, a lorry driver from Cherpulassery.

Reports state that Shajeer posted the incident as a story on his Instagram account named Shajeer_Tool. The footage shows him feeding the cat before slitting its throat and separating its head and other body parts.

The incident came to light after social media users who saw the video alerted the police. Preliminary information suggests that Shajeer is currently in Tamil Nadu. When questioned about the act, he reportedly said that cat meat tastes better than human meat. Authorities are yet to confirm where the video was filmed.
