Founder chairman of Prashanth Group of Concerns and founder of Surendra Group of Hotels: Vellanad P Surendran no more

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Prominent industrialist and former president of SNDP Yogam Nedumangad Union, Vellanad P Surendran (74), resident of TC 12/582, Sukanya Bhavan, Vadayakkadu, Kunnukuzhy, passed away. He passed away at a private hospital at around 7.10 pm. He had been away from public life for a long time following a stroke.

Vellanad P Surendran is the founder chairman of Prashanth Group of Concerns and the founder of Surendra Group of Hotels. He had worked as the administrator of SNDP Yogam Thiruvananthapuram, Vamanapuram and Neyyattinkara unions, as the convener of Thiruvananthapuram RDC and as the representative of Anad SNV Higher Secondary School Management.

Wife: Ambika. Children: Sukanya Surendran, Sujith Surendran. In-laws: Gopikrishna K, Aishwarya S Das. Grandchildren: Abhirami, Meenakshi. The funeral will be held at Kovalam Park Resort at 4 pm on Thursday.
