KOCHI: Actress Swetha Menon has approached the Kerala High Court seeking quashing of the FIR in the case against her. The actress filed a plea in the high court Thursday morning. The plea sought immediate stay of the investigation.

Swetha said in her plea that the action against her is being taken without examining facts. She said that she acted in films censored in the country and had received awards for it. She also clarified that she had not done anything illegal. The plea is likely to be considered today itself.

The police have registered a case against actress Swetha Menon on a complaint of making financial gains by acting in obscene scenes in films. The case was registered by the Ernakulam Central Police on the complaint of Martin Menachery of Thoppumpady on the directions of the Ernakulam CJM court.
