Woman dies of electrocution in coconut plantation

THRISSUR: A woman died after coming in contact with a snapped power line in her farm. The accident occurred Friday morning at 9 am in Erumapetty. The dead is Julie (48), wife of Benny from Maliyekkal House at Thekkekkara in Kundannoor. Benny also came in contact with the broken line.

The accident occurred when she went to pick the coconuts in her farm adjacent to her house. She was electrocuted from the broken power line to her home. Benny, who was with her, escaped miraculously. Julie was immediately taken to Thrissur Medical College Hospital, but her life could not be saved.
