After Thiruvananthapuram incident, another F-35B fighter jet from UK makes emergency landing

TOKYO: Britain's F-35B fighter jet made another emergency landing after experiencing a technical fault. The jet made an emergency landing in Japan Sunday morning at Kagoshima Airport. The landing of the F-35B caused delays in all flight services in Kagoshima. The plane is expected to return soon after completing the inspection.

The American-made F-35B fighter jet is part of Britain's HMS Prince of Wales aircraft carrier, which is deployed in the North Pacific. The jet was part of Britain’s joint military exercise with Japan and the U.S.

The same model aircraft made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram airport on June 14 due to a technical glitch. The jet experienced hydraulic problems on its way to Australia and thus made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram airport to avoid exacerbating the risk. The jet returned to Britain on July 22 after extensive repairs.
