327 voters in one house: Muslim League releases discrepancies in voter list from Kozhikode Corporation

KOZHIKODE: 327 voters in the voter list with the same house number in Kozhikode Corporation. There are 327 voters in house number 49/49 in the Marad division. There are 320 voters in House Number 4/500 and 248 voters in House Number 4/400 in the Puthur division. There are 196 voters in house number 03/418. Of these, 11 are in the Kommeri division and 185 are in the Kuttiyilthazham division. There are 1088 votes in House Number 0 in various divisions. It was the Muslim League District Committee that released information regarding the discrepancy in the voter list published for the local body elections.

There are six voters with the same ID card number in the voter list of Kozhikode Corporation on the State Election Commission website. There are four ID card numbers in the list. There are 4 ID numbers with five voters each, and 3 ID numbers with 4 voters each. There are 20 ID numbers with 3 voters each, and 599 numbers with 2 voters each in the list. Most of these are in different booths and divisions.

480 votes were repeated in one booth

There were 1408 votes in which the voter's name, parent's name and household name were repeated twice. 480 votes were repeated in one booth in the same division.

Since the votes of the same household are recorded in different divisions and booths, it is not possible to understand the voter list accurately. The League alleged that the CPM is trying to maintain power with the support of fake voters and the State Election Commissioner. League District President M.A. Razak and General Secretary T.T. Ismail attended the press conference. The UDF had also come forward with similar allegations the other day.
