KOCHI: More details of the complaint filed by two women against Hirandas Murali, also known as rapper Vedan, have surfaced. They filed the complaint with the office of the chief minister. Both incidents mentioned in the complaint happened during the 2020-2021. One of the complainants is a researcher in Dalit music. The second complainant is also associated with arts. The complaint said got acquainted with Vedan after listening his songs and became friends, and then raped her after taking her to many places.
Met Vedan out of admiration. Got acquainted via phone. Her complaint said he abused her when they met the first time. The two women have sought time to meet the chief minister in person and hand over evidence. The complaints to the chief minister will be forwarded to the DGP. They had earlier made MeToo allegations against Vedan.
The Thrikkakara police had registered a case against the rapper on the complaint of a female doctor who alleged that he sexually exploited her for two years on the promise of marriage. More complaints have been filed against him as the anticipatory bail plea in this case is to be considered by the high court today. The police have issued a lookout notice against him, who is absconding. The investigation team's action is aimed at preventing him from fleeing abroad.
