Many Youth Congress members have faced brutal assault for the movement and this land from the police. The most brutal experience among them had to be faced by Chowannur constituency president Sujith. After beating Sujith and making him frail, they also tried to frame him in a false case. These visuals came out as part of a two-year-long battle. This land will support Sujith's battle.

The victim of the brutal thrashing was Kunnamkulam Youth Congress President Sujith. The incident took place on April 5, 2023. Sujith had sought information from the police who had threatened his friends standing by the roadside. SI Nuhman, who did not like this, took Sujith to the station and brutally beat him.

DIG Harishankar submitted a report to the DGP on the incident. The report mentions that further action may be taken after the court order. The report states that there is only the charge of hitting the man with his hand. The report states that action was taken on the same day the complaint was filed, the increment of the four officers for two years was cancelled. Action has been taken against SI Nuhman and CPOs Saseendran, Sandeep and Sajeevan.
