'Imbibed Gurudeva's philosophy, fought for economically backwards'; CM Pinarayi Vijayan showers praise on Vellappally

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan adulated SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan for rightly embodying the philosophy of Gurudeva in his life. The Chief Minister was inaugurating the Sree Narayaniyam Convention Centre built by the SNDP Yogam Peringammala branch.

CM PINARAYI VIJAYAN:

“During Vellappally's tenure, the SNDP reached economic and social heights. Vellappally was able to constantly lead the SNDP, achieve its goals and guide the youth. He ensured employment and education for the economically backwards.

It is the need of the hour to honour Vellappally for his contributions to Kerala. May Vellappally be able to lead the movement for a long time. SNDP holds crucial importance in the history of Kerala's renaissance. SNDP restored the self-respect of the backwards people in the state.”

The Chief Minister honoured Vellappally Natesan for completing 30 long years as the General Secretary of SNDP Yogam.

The Chief Minister, though, also warned about the shrewd attempt made by communal forces to portray themselves as disciples of Gurudeva.

“Some people are using the guru's teachings to spread communal venom. The guru's thoughts and actions are not limited to one religion or caste. He taught people to see humans as human beings. The guru swept away superstitions. Deliberate efforts are being made to spread communalism and create division,” said CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
