THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department predicted the chances of heavy rainfall in the state during the coming days. A thunderstorm alert was issued for three days from tomorrow. It has been warned that thunderstorms and strong winds with a speed of 30 to 40 kmph are likely in isolated places in Kerala from tomorrow to the 10th. A yellow alert was also issued in various districts.

A yellow alert was issued for the following districts. Isolated heavy rain is expected. Heavy rain is defined as rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.

Therefore, the public should take the following precautions from the moment they first see a thunderstorm. Since lightning is not always visible, do not refrain from taking such precautions.
