Youngster stabbed to death by neighbour in Kottarakkara

KOLLAM: Crimes are going unabated yet again, as a youngster was stabbed to death in Kottarakkara Puthur. Shyam Sundar, a native of Kuzhakkad, was killed in the incident. The accused Dhanesh has been taken into police custody. The incident took place at around 12 am last night. Preliminary investigation points to previous enmity as the reason for the crime. Shyam Sundar and Dhanesh engaged in a heated debate on Friday, and it was alleviated upon the intervention of neighbours.

But by nightfall, the problems escalated and culminated in murder. Shyam Sundar was stabbed in the neck. The two are neighbours. Dhanesh reportedly barged into Shyam’s house and stabbed him to death. The victim died on the spot.
