Followed and harassed by autorickshaw driver, transferred to another school; more details come out regarding death of 16-year-old girl

PULPALLY: More details have come out regarding the death of a 16-year-old girl hailing from Meenamkolly. The deceased is Kanishka (16), the daughter of Meenamkolly native Kumar. According to reports, Kanishka had told her friends that an autorickshaw driver was following and harassing her. When she informed her parents about the matter, she was transferred to another school. Kanishka was very much upset over parting ways with her friends.

Adding to her struggles, Kanishka’s parents lived separately, and she had been staying with her father and grandparents. Family sources said she had attempted suicide earlier as well.

Kanishka had participated in the Onam celebrations held in the region on Saturday. She went missing on Sunday evening. Despite searches by relatives and locals, she could not be found, after which the family alerted the police. The girl's body was found on Monday afternoon in a farmland near Anaswara Junction in Pulpally town.
