Runway not visible due to heavy rain; plane scheduled to land in Thiruvananthapuram circles in sky for an hour

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The landing of a plane at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport was delayed due to heavy rain. The plane landed an hour late as the runway was not visible due to heavy rain.

The Kuwait Airways flight, which was supposed to land at 5:45 am today, landed an hour late. The pilot circled the sky as per the instructions of the air traffic controller, as the runway was not visible due to heavy rain. The plane later landed at around 6.45 am.
