THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rape attempt at a hostel in the capital city. The incident took place in Kazhakoottam, Thiruvananthapuram. The rape attempt at the woman, an IT employee, was on Thursday night by a man who entered the hostel where she was staying. The victim reached the Kazhakoottam police station on Friday morning and filed a complaint. The police have intensified the investigation to find the accused. However, the victim has not been able to identify the man who assaulted her.

The unknown person broke into the hostel room in the early hours of the morning. The girl was staying alone in the hostel room. During the assault by the accused, the girl pushed him away, following which he ran away. The victim did not tell anyone about this at night due to fear. The girl told the hostel authorities about the incident in the morning.

Then, in the morning, she reached the Kazhakoottam police station and filed a complaint. A case has been registered after subjecting the attacked IT employee to a medical examination. A special investigation team led by the Kazhakoottam Assistant Commissioner is investigating. The woman stated that she had never seen this attacker before. The police have intensified the investigation by examining the CCTV footage of the area and focusing on the entire city.
