Though I don’t have any politics, my acharaya in it is Pinarayi Vijayan, the chief minister of Kerala, said industrialist Gokulam Gopalam. Pinarayi was my senior in Brennen College. Though he is a bit serious now, Pinarayi was friendly with everyone in college then. Gopalan opened his mind on the chief minister in Kaumudy TV’s ‘Straight Line’ programme.

Pinarayi Vijayan was my senior in college. I knew him from then. He used to come to our hostel. He was a good party worker then. Though he is a bit silent now he was very friendly that time. I am very impressed with him. I knew that he would become a leader one day. I had told him one thing that if Chenkottukonam Swamy is my acharya spiritually you are my acharya in politics. His way of growing the party should be lauded. He is not selfish. He doesn’t want anything personally. He will do anything for the party. He was like that then also. He thinks about the party only.
