
NEW DELHI: A five-year old boy was kidnapped and murdered by his dad’s driver as part of his revenge towards him. The incident happened Tuesday afternoon in Delhi’s Narela area. The accused is Nitu (26), driver of the boy’s father’s transport company. The body of the boy was recovered from near the rented accommodation of Nitu. Police said a search has been intensified for Nitu, who is on the run.
The transport company run by the child's father has eight transport vehicles and has two drivers--Nitu and Wasim. On Monday evening, the two drivers had an argument under the influence of alcohol and in a fit of rage, Nitu beat Wasim. Wasim reported the matter to the boy’s father and he slapped Nitu. After being humiliated, Nitu kidnapped the boy, who was playing outside the house, on Tuesday.
He killed the boy with bricks and a knife. The boy’s family filed a missing complaint with the police at around 3.30 pm. During an investigation conducted, the child's body was found lying in a pool of blood near Nitu’s rented accommodation. There were injuries on the boy’s neck and head.
Although he was immediately taken to a nearby government hospital, the doctors confirmed him dead. A case of kidnapping and murder has been registered against Nitu. Multiple teams have been formed to find the accused absconding. Deputy Commissioner of Police Hareshwar Swami said that Nitu will be caught soon.
