THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As the nation celebrates the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Kerala BJP leader b Gopalakrishnan said that Gandhiji would have joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh if he had not been murdered by Nathuram Godse. The BJP leader made this statement while commemorating Gandhiji on his Facebook page.
According to Gopalakrishnan, Gandhi's disciples were in constant touch with RSS founder KB Hedgewar. He went on to say that Gandhi had once visited the RSS shakha in 1934. 'On December 24, 1934, Gandhiji attended the RSS shakha and offered respect to the Bhagavad Dwaja,' the post read. Gopalakrishnan further added that Gandhi had appreciated Hedgewar's exceptional leadership qualities.
