K S Sabarinadhan to contest from Kowdiar? Congress announces first list of candidates for local body polls

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress announced the first list of candidates for the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation in the local body elections. Former MLA KS Sabarinadhan is one of the prominent candidates in the list. The former MLA may probably contest from the Kowdiar seat. Senior leader Johnson Joseph is contesting from the Ulloor ward. Leaders led by K Muraleedharan announced the list of candidates.

The remaining list of candidates will be announced within two days. Despite being on the back foot in the capital city, Congress this time is vying for a surprise coup to wrest power of the corporation from LDF. Discussions are progressing with the Muslim League, Kerala Congress and RSP for seat allocation.

“The target is 51 seats. We are fully confident of a win.” Responded K Muraleedharan at a press conference.
