Sabarimala gold theft case: N Vasu to be questioned again

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) will once again question N Vasu, the former Devaswom Board president and former Devaswom Commissioner, in connection with the Sabarimala gold theft case. The SIT had earlier interrogated the accused Unnikrishnan Potty, Murari Babu, and D Sudheesh Kumar together. Their statements reportedly contain information against Vasu. After questioning, the SIT is likely to arrest him.

Although the fourth accused in the door frame gold theft case has been arrested, the third accused, Vasu, has not yet been taken into custody. The government and the CPM are said to be worried that the situation could become difficult for them if the investigation proceeds to taking Vasu into custody.
