Accused escapes from Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An accused escaped from the intensive care unit of Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. Rajeev Fernandes of Kottiyam, an accused in the case of cheating lakhs by impersonating as an official of the enforcement directorate, escaped from the ICU early Monday morning.

When Kollam East police caught him, Rajeev said he has chest pain. He was then brought to the medical college hospital last evening. He escaped by jumping through the window of the ICU. The police have started a search and is also examining the CCTV. Police said that he is an accused in many cases.
