Four arrested for gangraping 39-year-old woman 

BENGALURU: Four people have been arrested in the case of gangraping a 39-year-old woman in Karnataka. The incident happened on Sunday. The woman working as a home guard was subjected to brutal rape.

The woman left home yesterday morning telling her husband that she was going for work. In the meantime, her friend called her saying that he would repay the amount of Rs 5000 which he borrowed from her. Police said she went with her friend Lakshman on his bike to get the money to a place in Kushtagi taluk.

Lakshman’s three friends were there and when she went there, all the four raped her. They offered her juiced laced with liquor. Her complaint said they gangraped her many times. She has been admitted in the hospital and her condition is stated to be hospital.

Yelburga police have registered an FIR on her complaint. Koppal DSP visited the spot. Police said a detailed investigation will be conducted.
