KOCHI: Serene Communities by Columbia Pacific, India’s largest and most trusted senior living operator, has announced a strategic partnership with Asset Homes, Kerala’s leading and award-winning real estate developer, to develop four world-class senior living communities across the state. The collaboration, leading to investments exceeding Rs 500 crore, brings together Serene’s international expertise in senior living and Asset Homes’ deep local trust and delivery excellence.
The first project under this partnership — Serene Young @ Heart — was unveiled today in Kochi, marking the debut of a new standard in senior living for Kerala. Fully RERA-approved (RERA No. K-RERA/PRJ/ERN/111/2025; rera.kerala.gov.in) and scheduled for completion by early 2028, the project embodies the partners’ shared vision of creating environments where seniors can live independently, actively, and joyfully.
A project that redefines senior living in Kerala
Serene Young @ Heart is designed for vibrant, independent seniors who wish to live in a community built around connection, wellness, and positive ageing. Located in the heart of Kochi, the development offers 211 residences in combinations of 1, 1.5, and 2 BHK apartments, surrounded by lush greenery over 1.69 lakh sq. ft.
Supporting this environment is an integrated care layer — with clinical oversight by KITES Senior Care and preventive wellness technology enabled through SeniorShield — making it one of the most comprehensive senior living offerings in India.
A tie-up with Rajagiri Hospital, one of Kerala’s most respected multi-speciality healthcare institutions, ensures dedicated medical access, continuous monitoring, and emergency support, further strengthening the project’s promise of safe, dignified, and worry-free living.
Serene Young @ Heart features an activity/yoga hall, wellness centre, business centre, bistro, well-appointed dining hall, along with beautifully landscaped outdoor areas including walking tracks, fountain, etc, designed to promote wellness, recreation, and community engagement. Every aspect of the project reflects Serene’s philosophy of blending comfort, care, and purpose-built design for graceful ageing.
The partnership between Serene Communities by Columbia Pacific and Asset Homes will deliver four senior living projects across Kerala, including developments in Kottayam and Trivandrum, and a waterfront ultra-luxury project in Kochi.
This collaboration is part of Serene’s broader South India expansion strategy, with Kerala positioned as a key growth market due to its large NRI base, higher life expectancy, stronger health indices, and reputation as a retirement-friendly state. The combination of strong purchasing power and cultural readiness makes Kerala a natural hub for world-class senior living communities.
Rajagopal G., Co-Founder, Director & Group CEO – Serene Communities by Columbia Pacific, said, “Kerala’s ageing population and higher life expectancy make it one of India’s most important regions for senior care innovation. With Serene Young @ Heart, we are introducing a world-class environment that allows seniors to age gracefully — surrounded by care, comfort, and connection. Our collaboration with Rajagiri Hospital ensures trusted, high-quality healthcare access, while our partnership with Asset Homes brings unmatched local expertise. Together, we’re creating a model that redefines how seniors in Kerala live and thrive.”
Sunil Kumar, Managing Director – Asset Homes, added, “Asset Homes has always believed in developing homes that improve lives. Partnering with Serene Communities allows us to extend that commitment to Kerala’s growing senior population — with communities that combine quality construction, thoughtful amenities, and a sense of belonging. Serene Young @ Heart represents the beginning of a long-term partnership dedicated to raising the standard of senior living in our state.”
Serene Communities by Columbia Pacific, the senior living vertical of LifeBridge Group, currently operates 10 senior living communities across India, managing over 1,700 residential units and 2,400 seniors under care, with 13 ongoing projects in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chennai, Cochin, Pune, and Hyderabad.
