NEW DELHI: A Congress leader has sparked a controversy by sharing a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi selling tea. It was Dr Ragini Nayak who posted an AI-generated video on X, showing Modi walking on a red carpet holding a kettle in one hand and tea glasses in the other.
In the video, Modi is seen wearing a light blue coat and black pants. He walks along the red carpet carrying the kettle and glasses, and a voice can be heard asking if anyone wants tea. The tricolour and flags of other countries can be seen in the background.
The video quickly spread on social media and sparked controversy. BJP leaders strongly criticised it, saying the Congress leader insulted the Prime Minister’s humble background. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla accused her of mocking the Prime Minister.
“Ragini Nayak is attacking and mocking Prime Minister Modi’s ‘chaiwala’ background. She has mocked it before as well. She has insulted him over 150 times. In Bihar, she even insulted his mother. People will never forgive this,” Shehzad Poonawalla said.
