THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rahul Easwar, who is on remand for cyberbullying a complainant of a sexual assault case, was admitted to the Medical College Hospital after his health deteriorated. Earlier, the police planned to take Rahul to the hospital at noon and take him back to prison by evening.

However, the doctors, after evaluating Rahul's health status, suggested that he be admitted. Rahul has been on a hunger strike since the day of his arrest.

Rahul Easwar was earlier shifted to Poojappura District Jail after his anticipatory bail application was rejected. However, after he announced a hunger strike, Rahul was shifted to Central Jail.

Meanwhile, the hearing on Rahul Easwar's bail plea will continue tomorrow. The Thiruvananthapuram Additional CJM Court postponed the hearing to tomorrow as both sides have not completed their arguments. Rahul Easwar's lawyer argued that Rahul's video only showed the reading of the FIR and defended that nothing was insulting about the complainant. The prosecution argued that Rahul was not cooperating with the investigation and raised the need to question him in custody again.
