KOCHI: Actor Dileep said that with the court delivering its verdict in the actress assault case, the “false story created by the police has fallen apart.” He first thanked God and said that truth has prevailed. Dileep was speaking to the media after being acquitted by the court as the eighth accused in the case.

Dileep said that the move against him began after Manju Warrier stated that there was a criminal conspiracy in the actress assault case. He added that a senior officer at the time, along with a selected team of criminal police officials, carried out this action against him.

He alleged that the police created a false narrative by colluding with the main accused in the case. Later, some media outlets and journalists who helped the police also spread this false story through social media, he said. “Today, the false story created by the police has fallen apart in court. The real conspiracy in this case was to frame me, destroy my career, my image, and my life,” Dileep added.

Meanwhile, fans of Dileep began celebrations soon after the court declared him not guilty. Supporters who reached the court premises distributed laddus and cake. As Dileep came out of the court, fans welcomed him with loud cheers. Some even tried to take selfies with the actor.
