PALAKKAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Palakkad for the election campaign in Kerala. Modi, who landed in a helicopter at Mercy College Ground, reached Kota Maidanam, where the NDA public meeting is being held, in a roadshow where he greeted thousands of workers.
Palakkad is a place where the BJP is campaigning strongly,
declaring it its A-class constituency. NDA candidates from all 12 constituencies in the district are participating in the public meeting. Thousands of people gathered at Kota Maidanam to see the Prime Minister. Modi greeted the workers with open arms and excited the people by playing the chenda.
Meanwhile, smoke emanating from the amplifier at the venue where the public meeting was being held, raised concerns of a safety breach. The smoke bellowed due to the overload. Officials arrived and resolved the problem immediately.
