KOCHI: The High Court Advocates Association president advocate Yashwant Shenoy said the trial court verdict in the actress assault case has been leaked. Shenoy has given a letter to the High Court Chief Justice in this regard. It is learnt that the verdict acquitting the eighth accused Dileep, who was accused of conspiracy, was leaked earlier.
Shenoy said the organization received an anonymous letter a week before the verdict in the case and that the information in the letter is similar to the verdict and that a detailed investigation should be conducted in this regard. A copy of the letter has been sent to the Chief Justice.
The complaint is that the contents of the verdict, which found six including the first accused Pulsar Suni guilty, were received as an anonymous letter before the verdict was delivered. It is reported that the letter also stated that the seventh accused Charlie Thomas, the eighth accused Dileep and the ninth accused Sanil Kumar will be acquitted from the case, which will be delivered on December 8. The association has demanded that an investigation be conducted to find out whether the verdict was leaked and the source of the letter be found.
