NEW DELHI: Recent intelligence reports confirm that the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is active in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The intelligence agency has found that LeT is expanding its infrastructure for terrorist activities. News agencies report that the intelligence agency has received information that construction work is underway in the Neelum Valley.
Satellite images of construction work progressing in the region have emerged. The construction of this centre, which began in November, is said to be designed to function as a religious place of worship and a command and control centre for terrorist activities. The report, citing intelligence sources, states that construction work on four such centres is underway in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
According to recent intelligence assessments, these centres are being built after previous LeT terror camps were destroyed by Indian airstrikes during "Operation Sindoor" in May 2025. LeT is reportedly moving its infrastructure to avoid future strikes and is using the guise of religious centres to mask its true purpose.
