College student sustains serious injuries in accident

KOZHIKODE: An 18-year-old college student suffered serious injuries after being trapped between the bus and the pavement due to the careless driving of a private bus driver. The accident occurred at the Anchuvilakku bus stop in Vadakara Friday afternoon. The injured is Devangana of Nadapuram.

The accident was caused by the bus named Ashmika plying on the Nadapuram-Vadakara route. Devangana boarded the bus to go to college. The accident occurred as soon as she alighted from the bus. The bus moved forward and she got stuck between the bus and the pavement. The accident occurred when the bus moved forward carelessly along the pavement. The girl, who was caught between the pavement and the bus, was taken to the hospital by the locals. The girl, who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kozhikode, is reported to be in a critical condition. Devangana is a student of Vadakara S N College.
