Massive fire breaks out at plastic collection facility in Thalassery; Three fire force units continuing efforts to douse fire

THALASSERY: A major fire broke out at a plastic collection facility in Thalassery. Three units of the fire force have reached the spot and are continuing their efforts to douse the fire. The fire broke out in Kandikal Industrial Estate. A major disaster was averted as there were no workers inside the building. Firefighters from fire stations in Thalassery, Mahe and Panur reached the spot. It is not clear how the fire started. The workers ran outside after noticing the fire. Kandikal is a bypass area on the way from National Highway 66 to Thalassery town.
