PALAKKAD: The body of a six-year-old child identified as Suhan, who went missing from Chittoor yesterday, has been found. The body was found floating in the middle of the pond, 100 meters away from his house. The body was first found by the locals who were searching the area around the pond. The fire force arrived and brought the body ashore. The sad news came after a 21-hour search.

The body has been shifted to the Palakkad District Hospital. The child went missing around 12 noon yesterday. His relatives said Suhan fought with his brother while playing in the courtyard and then left the house. As it was just a normal fight between children, the search was launched after the child was not seen for some time.

Suhan, a student of Royal Public School, suffers from epilepsy. After searching the surroundings for a long time but unable to find him, the Fire Force Scuba team arrived and searched the ponds in the area until night. A dog squad from Palakkad also reached the spot and searched, but was not found till 8 pm. Senior police officials were also present at the spot late at night. His father Anas is abroad and will be reaching soon. His mother is a teacher at Nilgiri Public School. When the child went missing, his mother was in school.
