Overcrowding at Vedan’s music show in Kasargod, children among those hospitalised

KASARGOD: Chaos broke out during rapper Vedan’s music show at the Bekal Beach Festival in Kasargod, leaving several people, including children, hospitalised.

The performance was scheduled to begin at 8 pm on Monday, but started nearly one and a half hours late. During the delay, a large crowd gathered at the venue. According to organisers, several people without tickets also entered the event area.

The situation worsened when members of the crowd attempted to move closer to the stage, leading to heavy congestion. Several attendees, including children, reported discomfort and were taken to the hospital. Officials confirmed that none of them is in serious condition.
