'To seek support for new mission'; Thiruvananthapuram Mayor pays visit to senior CPM leader G Sudhakaran

ALAPPUZHA: Thiruvananthapuram Mayor VV Rajesh visited senior CPM leader G Sudhakaran, who is recovering from a leg injury. Rajesh met Sudhakaran at the latter's home in Paravur, Alappuzha. After honouring Sudhakaran with a shawl and engaging in casual talks, the Mayor returned to Thiruvananthapuram. BJP leaders and workers from Alappuzha were part of Mayor Rajesh’s entourage.

After the meeting, Rajesh responded to the media. The Thiruvananthapuram Mayor said that he visited the senior CPM leader to seek support before heading towards the newly entrusted mission in Thiruvananthapuram.

After participating in the Mannam Jayanti celebrations at the Perunna NSS headquarters today, Rajesh came to Alappuzha to meet SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan. On his way back, Rajesh dropped by in Paravur and met G Sudhakaran. All senior CPM leaders, including the Chief Minister, had visited Sudhakaran, who was undergoing treatment in the hospital.
