
LUCKNOW: In a shocking incident, a six-year-old girl was gang-raped and murdered in Uttar Pradesh after being thrown from a terrace. The brutal incident took place the other day in the Sikandrabad area of Bulandshahr district. Police have arrested two men in connection with the case.
The accused have been identified as Raju and Veeru Kashyap. Police said the arrests were made after an encounter, during which both accused sustained injuries to their legs and are currently undergoing treatment.
Police said that they rushed to the spot after receiving information that a girl was found in a critical condition. She was taken to a Community Health Centre, where doctors confirmed her death. Following the incident, locals staged strong protests demanding justice.
A case was registered based on the complaint lodged by the girl's father. According to the complaint, the accused were tenants living in the same building. The girl was playing on the terrace and was later found lying unconscious in a nearby field.
The accused, who were injured in their legs during the police encounter, are undergoing treatment. Police said the accused confessed to the crime during preliminary questioning and that further investigation is ongoing.
