PARAVUR: A youngster from Thiruvananthapuram was arrested in connection with the suicide of a married woman in Paravur. The Paravur police arrested R.V. Rahul on Tuesday.

Police narrative: The young woman, married and a mother of two children, committed suicide a few days ago. During the investigation, the police found that there were no family issues and decided to check the woman's phone records. It was found that she was in a relationship with two people, including the arrested Rahul. On the day of the death, the accused had a video call with her for about 54 minutes via WhatsApp.

The police found that Rahul had threatened to end the relationship with the woman and even said he would inform her husband and share their private photos. This is likely to have led to the suicide.

The accused's mobile tower location was checked, and it was found that he was in Adimalathura, Vizhinjam. The accused was then arrested with the help of the Vizhinjam police and the DANSAF team. He was involved in selling ganja and using drugs. A case was registered against him for abetting suicide.
