Sandalwood tree stolen from Kerala Police Academy campus

THRISSUR: A sandalwood tree has been stolen from the Kerala Police Academy campus at Ramavarmapuram. The theft came to light after academy authorities filed a complaint, following which the Viyyur police registered a case.

The theft is believed to have taken place between December 27 and January 2. The middle portion of a sandalwood tree standing inside the academy premises was cut and taken away. The stolen sandalwood tree was more than 30 years old.
