Pictures of Malayali woman influencer in UAE massage center, accused from her own hometown

AJMAN: A youth has been arrested for using pictures of a social media influencer and a Malayali woman identified as Hafeeza Firoz in massage centers without her permission. The police have not yet revealed the name of the accused. However, Hafeeza revealed that she is saddened to know that the person arrested is a Malayali and belongs to her home town Kannur. The police in Ajman arrested the youth.

Hafeeza is a native of Mattannur in Kannur. The woman, a licensed fashion and electronics blogger in the UAE, has 1.38 lakh followers on Instagram. The woman’s picture with captions providing sexual services, were circulated in two massage parlors. The woman said that she was very upset when many sent her the posters. Many had even teased her.

Her case has been taken over by advocate Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services. The case has been registered based on a complaint filed through the Ajman prosecution. A criminal case has been registered against the accused under sections of cybercrime, defamation and personal attack. Investigation revealed that the accused had taken the pictures from her Instagram account. Many women may have faced the same situation. However, I could not remain silent, she said.
