False allegation against Suryakumar Yadav; Rs 100 crore defamation case filed against actress Khushi Mukherjee

MUMBAI: Actress Khushi Mukherjee has landed in legal trouble after making alleged defamatory remarks against the Indian cricket team’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav. According to reports, a social media influencer named Faizan Ansari has filed a defamation case seeking Rs 100 crore in damages against the actress. The case was filed following Khushi’s claim that Suryakumar Yadav used to send her messages frequently.

Faizan Ansari alleged that the actress’s statement was merely a publicity stunt and that she was trying to damage the reputation of a national sports star. He travelled from Mumbai to Ghazipur to file the complaint and issued a legal notice demanding Rs 100 crore as compensation for harming the cricketer’s image. Ansari also said that an FIR should be registered immediately, adding that the issue has spread to many parts of the world. Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav has not responded to the allegations as of yet.

The controversy began after Khushi made a remark during an interview when she was asked whether she was interested in dating cricketers. She said she was not interested in dating cricketers and claimed that many cricketers were behind her. She further stated that Suryakumar Yadav used to message her frequently, but that they are no longer in regular contact, and that she does not want her name to be associated with his.

After the issue went viral, the actress came forward with a clarification. She said her words were misinterpreted and denied having any romantic relationship with Suryakumar Yadav. She added that they had spoken only as friends in the past and claimed that her Instagram account had been hacked. Khushi also said she wishes Suryakumar Yadav and the Indian cricket team all the best for the upcoming World Cup.
