Doctor complains of attack by actor Krishna Prasad; allegations levelled on speculation of contesting polls, says actor 

CHANGANASSERY: A doctor of a private hospital in Kottayam has filed a police complaint alleging attack by actor Krishna Prasad. Dr B Sreekumar (67) of Sreenilayam house in Kottayam has filed a complaint against the actor at the Changanassery police station.

His complaint says that he was attacked when he reached at the plot which is in his wife's name near Subramanya Swamy temple at Perunna in Changanassery. Sreekumar is constructing a new house here. As part of this, when the workers were laying stones, Krishna Prasad stopped them and warned them that if they laid stones again, they would demolish them. When the doctor reached the spot after this, Krishna Prasad and his friends attacked him.

When Sreekumar reached the place where he was building his house, Krishna Prasad along with the village officer reached the area. The doctor was beaten up while recording the footage on his phone. Sreekumar immediately sought treatment at the Changanassery General Hospital.

However, Krishna Prasad responded to a media that the complaint of being attacked was not true. He said the doctor was building his house on a land that had been filled with fields and that he was questioning the attempt to fill the water channel flowing along the road here. He has previously filed a complaint against land encroachment. Krishna Prasad said that this was not his only need but the common need of about forty families in the area and that is why he intervened. The actor said that the allegations against him are being levelled because there are speculations that he will be an independent candidate for the NDA in the upcoming assembly elections.
