
WAYANAD: Three people, including two minors, have been arrested in the incident of brutally beating a 16-year-old boy at an empty place on Kalpetta Mess House Road. The arrest of Kalpetta native Muhammed Nafi (18) has been recorded. The minors were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. After the incident, Nafi was admitted to a private medical college in Meppadi for treatment. The police took him into custody from there. Nafi was taken to the scene for evidence collection. Sections including attempt to murder were charged. It is said that Nafi had brutally beaten the child a year ago also. A case has been registered for that as well.

14-year-old brutally beaten in Kaniyampatta
A 14-year-old boy was brutally beaten by a former classmate in Kaniyampatta, Wayanad. The assault took place near the Kaniyampatta Village Office Road the other day. The 14-year-old says that he was made to lie down on a barbed wire fence, kicked and hit on the head. The boy, who ran home to save his life, was admitted to Kalpetta General Hospital by his parents. The student's mother said that his son's uniform was torn and his neck and chest were injured.
