HYDERABAD: Railways received bomb threats from an anonymous sender on Saturday. The letter was sent to a lawyer in Hyderabad by unidentified individuals claiming to be jihadists. The letter stated that a bomb would be planted on the railway tracks in Secunderabad to destroy Vande Bharat trains. The sender demanded Rs two crore to not move ahead with the plan.

The letter stated that Rs 2 crore should be deposited in the bank account of the Railway General Manager. The sender clarified that the aim is to cause at least 250 casualties in the blast.

The names Shoaib, Shamsheer, and Nizami were listed in the letter. The police have started an investigation into the incident, while the railways shrugged this off as a fake threat.
