LAHORE: Warning from Pakistan as relations between India and Bangladesh continue to deteriorate. Pakistani journalist and observer Najam Sethi has warned that provoking India will have a negative impact on Bangladesh. Bangladesh is making many provocative moves and statements against India. If this continues, India will not hesitate to carry out Operation Sindoor-style action against Bangladesh over Dhaka as it did in Pakistan.
"Bangladesh is threatening India that it will do this or that to its seven sisters. I think India will do something, similar to what it did against Pakistan. The type of aggressive foreign policy Narendra Modi follows ... I don't think he will ignore all this. There's a sentiment there that India has to show that it's a great power,"- Sethi made it clear in the warning. Najam Sethi is a journalist who has very close ties with the Sharif family, subsequently acting as a key aide to Nawaz Sharif and receiving appointments as Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) under Shahbaz Sharif.
Relations between Bangladesh and India deteriorated since India granted asylum to former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. India has also come out publicly against the widespread attacks and killings of Hindus as part of the protests in Bangladesh.
