Police prepare green corridor: Ambulance carrying 10-month-old Alin Sherin's organs leaves for Thiruvananthapuram

KOCHI: The ambulance carrying the organs of Kerala's youngest organ donor, Alin Sherin Abraham, left Kochi for Thiruvananthapuram. The organs are being brought to Thiruvananthapuram by road. The police have arranged a green corridor to clear the way for the ambulance. The journey is planned to reach Thiruvananthapuram from Amrita Hospital in Kochi via Kunnumpuram, Edappally, Vyttila, Mini Bypass, Tripunithura, Puthenkavu, Ettumanoor and Kottayam.

The organs donated belong to 10-month-old Alin Sherin Abraham, who died in a road accident. The kidneys, liver and heart valves are being donated. The kidneys will be given to a 10-year-old child undergoing treatment at the Thiruvananthapuram SAT Hospital. The body of Alin Sherin Abraham will be handed over to the relatives after the inquest proceedings. The body will be handed over to relatives with state honors.
