THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two SFI activists arrested in connection with the attack on a policeman at a mall. The arrested men are Vinay Prakash and Surjit. Vinay Prakash is the person who filed the complaint against Mithun Roy of the AR police camp. Meanwhile, the non-bailable case filed against Mithun Roy and his sister will be withdrawn. The investigation report in this regard will be submitted to the court tomorrow.

The incident took place at around 3 pm yesterday. Mithun and his sister had come to the mall to buy things on the occasion of their father's memorial day. In the meantime, SFI activists tried to provoke Mithun by using obscene language. Later, they surrounded Mithun and attacked him. The visuals of this were released by the SFI activists themselves. The Vanchiyoor police had registered cases in the incident based on Mithun's complaint and the complaint of the SFI activists.

During the New Year celebrations on December 31, there was a scuffle between SFI activists who had come to Shankhumukham and the police, including Mithun. There was a police lathi-charge that night. It is reported that yesterday's incident was a revenge for this. Mithun is currently on medical leave.
