Congress MLA receives hostile reception at township inauguration: T Siddique faced with continuous booing

WAYANAD: The audience booed MLA T Siddique during the inauguration of the model township project. A group of people were booing from the time T Siddique's name was mentioned until the MLA finished his speech. It is indicated that the people who jeered were from outside.

The booing against the MLA continued after Minister K Rajan indirectly criticised the Congress in his speech. "The government is not walking with stones. If we lay a stone, we will definitely build a house on top of it," the minister said. He was indirectly criticising the incident where the Congress laid the foundation stone for the rehabilitation project the other day.

Later, some people continued to boo until Siddique MLA finished his speech. DYFI state president V Vaseef, CPM district secretary K Rafeeq and former MLA CK Saseendran went out into the crowd and asked people not to boo.

T Siddique said that the booing by some people who are not from Wayanad is part of a deliberate political agenda. "Every time my name was mentioned, they booed. Neither the Chief Minister nor the ministers present on the stage stopped them, even by raising their hands. When I was speaking, the disaster victims stood up and applauded. The Revenue Minister's remark hurt me a lot. I have been standing with the disaster victims since the first moment of the disaster. None of them will have any complaints about me. I have never opposed the township project," Siddique said.
