Woman hacks daughter-in-law to death for denial to serve tea

MALAPPURRAM: In a fit of rage, a woman hacked her daughter-in-law to death after a simple request for tea escalated into a heated argument between the two. The incident happened Monday morning. The dead is Rejitha of Pookkottumpadam Koottampara. The police have taken her mother-in-law Shantha into custody. She told police that she committed the crime because she was not given tea despite asking for it several times.

Shantha hacked Rejitha with a knife in front of her children. Hearing the screams of her children, the locals rushed her to the hospital. Her body has been shifted to the mortuary of the Nilambur Hospital.
