Sandeep Varier to contest in Thrikaripur? Uncertainty continues in Perumbavoor

NEW DELHI: Sandeep Varier is being considered by UDF to field in the Thrikaripur constituency. Pradeep Kumar's name is also being mentioned in Uduma. Kasaragod district was completely excluded from the Congress's first list of candidates announced the other day. However, Kasaragod DCC responded lukewarmly to Sandeep's name being discussed in the constituency. The leaders said there was no need to jettison any leader in the constituency. It is reported that an internal conflict has already started within the Kasaragod Congress over the sudden candidate rumour in Thirkaripur constituency.

Meanwhile, uncertainty continues regarding Eldhose Kunnapally's candidacy in Perumbavoor.

Opposition Leader VD Satheesan announced that the seat-sharing of the UDF has been completed. The Congress will contest in 95 seats. He clarified that the Indian Union Muslim League will contest in 27 seats and the Kerala Congress Joseph faction in eight seats.
